The development will consist of a 6-story, 145-room Hyatt Place Hotel, a second-floor elevated pool, a market, lounge, restaurant, and business center with 1,600 square feet of meeting space. In addition, this property boasts 39 urban loft-style studios, as well as a mix of retail and local cuisines occupying the entire ground floor.
Welcome to Downtown Gainesville, a neighborhood known for its creative roots that are deeply embedded in a diverse music and art culture. Our guests and residents will enjoy close proximity to the University of Florida, Innovation Square, parks, museums, restaurants, shopping, and entertainment venues such as the historic Hippodrome State Theater directly across the street. Public transportation routes are easily accessible and within walking distance from our hotel and operate on a full-time schedule.
Expected to open in 2022 and breaking ground on April 16th, 2021, Hyatt Place Downtown Gainesville will bring the brand’s intuitive design, casual atmosphere, and practical amenities, such as free Wi-Fi and 24-hour food offerings, to the Downtown area, adding to this historic neighborhood.
Key design aspects of the building will include technology that will allow for social distancing at check in and while ordering food and beverages, a tankless water system that will ensure the cleanest water possible, materials and furnishings with surfaces made to disinfect simply, and many other green features.
